CFI Commander Event


Here is an event that I don't think anyone has ever attempted before. All you need to participate is willing to command a full round of PR and a little bit of luck.


Basic outline:

Two people will jump onto a full or almost full public server. Once a new round starts both will apply for command on different teams. They will play out the round until it's over and report the score to the appropriate thread.


The rules:
1. It is up to you and your opponent to pick the date, time, and the server on which to play on.
2. Once you lose, you're out.
3. Each round of the tournament will last a week. This means that you and your opponent have a week to play the match. If one does not happen both players will be disqualified. If you cannot settle on a time contact one of the tournament admins.
4. If the server crashes in the middle of the game you can either play another round or decide on a winner if there was a clear one.
5. Be respectful of your opponent.


What if my team sucks and they can't manage assets?
Do your best and hope that you come up on top! This is one of the interesting parts of this competition. You don't know what map will be played and you don't know if your team is good or not.


The winner will get an epic userbar that you can put into your sig on any site or forum. Bragging rights come with it as well.

Unfortunately it has a giant flaw. If your team is a bunch of dumbasses, then you lose, and sometimes that even happens on TG, rarely, but it still does.

Maybe something like commanding a squad. You have more control over people, and a good squad can make the whole team win if they do what is necessary.

Interesting event for sure! Feels a bit like the /nerd alert! Warhammer 40k Eye of Terror Campaign (tabletop version mind you! )

It's not really a floor as a feature. A really good commander can get a couple of INF squads working together, regardless of the skill level. Unless you are too, chicken?

One of the main things a PR commander must do is bring in the team and work together, so if you think your a good commander I think you can turn those dumbasses to disciplined PR players by round start. Most servers will have the "Obey commander orders or kicked" rule anyway...so pick your server wisely.

It doesn't matter if you are a great commander or if you have never commanded before! Anybody can win this tournament!

Great idea, PR needs good commanders to lift the teamwork of all the servers.

PR also need good players who lift commanders and encourage them to go over the team. Since i always see failed commanders on pub games who gives up on trying it out since people do not give a s*** about his efforts and keep playing.
