cd key not valid

the wierdest thing... every server i try to log onto, just gives me the "cd-key not valid". i tried the guide thing on the top of the page, and i it just made things worst... i have a legit cd-key and a legit copy of the game...

re enter the cd key you have in the registry.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2\ergc
^^This is for Win64
Leave the x939 and then enter the key without "-"
like:
x9392GMRRRCDWSHYJSXXXXXXX
When you get the error again cantact EA.

Are you running the game as an admin? - right click, run as administrator?

hmm, someone busted your cd key, a trojan? rent your copy a freind some days bevore

What do you mean by "worst". What are the current symptoms?
Looks like you are down to those 3 options:
1. Reinstall BF2
2. Contact EA (btw: is that a punkbuster kick? then contact PB too)
3. Get a new CD-Key

never loaned the game to a friend, and i had the problem before and thats why i bought a new copy of the game... not a punkbuster kick..

I am also curious as to how following the guide could have made the situation worse.
