Scoped RPG 7

Recently I've repeatedly had the privilege of using the russian HAT. Now, in principle it's really nice to have a scope on that thing because you get a bit of zoom. But, and this is a BIG but, I am confused by the reticle time and again. I have had a little bit of an analizing session in Singleplayer with this thing, but although I know the point of aim in theory when it comes to the action in Multiplayer I am confused and miss a lot because of it.

So pls, for the next version change something with that reticle, that will make the reticle less confusing. I just feel forced to use the reticle like it was designed to be used by my subconcious and have to keep myself from doing so and thats really annoying me.

Yours subversively :P

PS:Im a bit surprised to find that nobody seems to have complained about this yet, or has there been a cleverly disguised thread I missed with the search function?
PPS: I know that there is an unscoped version as well...

Chuc posted up an image on how to use it, and yes, it is VERY complicated. I'll try to find it.

The most ideal fix to the problem would be to 'illuminate' the area where you need to aim in a dark red color similar to the sniper scopes that were in BF2:SF.

The only functional reticles in-game are the AAVP7 gunner's sight and the SPG-9 scope. Functional AT weapon sights aren't done....yet.

For now, it's just the middle of the reticle, which is the 500m line iirc.

Please mark center of the reticle with some different color or make it functional like SPG-9. Now its a bit confusing when one scope really works and other dont.

If we scope the Rpg we also scope At-4 and so on ...

For me the pleasure of LAT is that it's unscoped - Means I can hit a close-up, moving-from-one-side-to-the-other target (Say, an APC in the next block passing across from my POV).

Or, as Insurgent, a chopper.

If they start to get scopes, that's cool, but is there a way to make it accurate when unscoped so that we still have this capability?

Tbh, i like the RPG the way it is. I think it would be too wierd with a scope on it.

The scoped RPG is the Russian HAT, the Tandem RPG-7, not LAT. Their LAT still has ironsights.

Its worth noting that you can right click the Russian HAT to get the ironsights version, like the Taliban have.

You can get a scoped non-tandem RPG-7 as the russians. Its the alternate (Right Click) version of the L-AT. You get an ironsight AK-74 with 2 RPG-7 PG-7V HEAT(I can't remember if the russians get the PG-7V or the -7VL)

Their standard LAT is the RPG26, but the alternate kit gives you the RPG7 with scope iirc.

Can the AT4 use a scope?

The M136 is not designed to use a magnified optic, but does have an optional mounting bracket that allow installation of the PVS-4 and similar NODs.

Off Topic Note: Wouldn't attaching an expensive scope to something like that defeat the whole purpose of it being disposable?

On Topic: I rather like the RPG-7 with the scope, mainly due to my hatred for the RPG-26 sights. Yes, it is rather confusing to sight onto a target, however you do get a wider field of vision that is less obstructed by ironsights allowing you to sight in a little bit easier.

The mount used to attach the night optics to the M136 are temporary, using small hand-tightened "screws" to fix the mount to the launcher tube. The mount is tight enough not to displace upon firing, but can easily be removed when necessary.

After firing, the optic and mount are quickly removed and can be attached to another launcher in seconds.

And in many cases, the launcher tubes aren't just discarded and left in the field. While they can be left behind, soldiers are "recommended" to recover/retain launched tubes and safety rings for recycling.
