Hi, I have noticed that the explosion of IED is really ugly, its just like 2 balls of fire going anywhere and a kind of blast effect without smoke or anything. So I was wondering if it was a bug or only that I need my effects at the highest.
Or maybe you just changed it, but its really ugly if we compare to the one in 0.85 wich was really nice with the smoke, dust, etc.

Necroing this, the IED explosion is still really ugly if we compare it to the 0.85 one :
(Yes fan video with nasheed music, etc, but look at the explosions)
Dust is laggy in large amounts is it not? I always lag when I blow a Gary or Big Red, game stutters real bad and seems like it will freeze.

That video is from a time when normal IED's did damage the new effect reflects the now pussyfied IED.

Pussified vs previous, but now realistic in terms of damage.. Overpowered even. Source: Liveleak.

I could kick the ground and make more dust.

Couldn't agree more. The current effect is horrible, even the hand grenade effect kicks up more dust, it's ridiculous.

You guys are always welcome to try and improve it. God knows who did it originally, but we don't have anyone in the team right now doing effects so its unlikely to get changed any time soon unless someone from the community steps up to the plate and has ago themselves.

Me thinks the old effect served its purpose rather well. Why not bring that back?
