Allow small squads to have a rope kit

I think the 4 squadmember requirement for the rifleman specialist is too high, lowering it to 2 would be better.
First of all it represents the ability to get into buildings and climb walls, something which every person should be capable of. Second and more important, small squads like recon sniper or even logistics could benefit a lot from having a rope.
Might even mix it up a little and give a rope to the scoped rifleman instead of the inciendiary grenades, making both rifleman versions needed in insurgency.

So the specialist won't be too special now huh? I think they made the 4 person limit to break off from the "2 man 1337 team" mentality. If you want to be more versatile, you bring more people. =)

Would kind of defeat the purpose of limiting the kit in the first place. Letting the kit be used in small squads brings back the ability for some guy to lonewolf with it.
I suppose I'd be alright with a "spotter" kit as right-click on sniper that is just a rifleman kit with a rope or something... but that's unnecessary, tbh. It's kind of silly to put yourselves on a rooftop except for a few areas, in which case you could always ask for a rope up from a friendly squad if it's that important.

Exactly. The way i see it the rope is there not just for rooftops but mostly for walls and to get around more easly in an urban environment. What makes climbing a 2m high fence so special anyway?
Being a 2 or 3 men team doesn't mean you want to be l33t, it means more people would attract unnecessary attention to what you are doing.
It's just like the medic, they started with the requirement of 4 then dropped it to 2. I don't see any harm in doing the same with the rifleman specialist or adding a rope to some other kits.

I would like it to be for 2-3 man squads, I dont like that you have to have 4 people for it. It's not that special, it used to be a kit anyone could spawn with, why not just limit it to one per squad and leave it at that.

4 man restriction squad is awesome change. No rambo leet 2 or 1 man squads anymore, just be part of proper squad and problem is solved.

What makes a 2 man squad improper or rambo? As i said, you don't need more for recon sniper or logi, the kind of squads that would be better off with a rope.
Squadmembers won't make you a teamplayer, attitude will.

People don't lone wolf through the entire enemy force with a medic kit.

exactly what i was thinking .. they wouldnt have changed she specialist kit to a limited kit if they didnt think that it needed to be regulated . . . . this would stop from Everybody having a rope and will improve teamwork

Improving teamwork might have been the intention, but it only made manouvering in a city harder. I'm not suggesting going back the way it was, just lowering the requirement to 2-3 in a squad. If a player wants to lonewolf he will still do it. You can't change people's mentality by removing a piece of equipment that was there for realistic reasons.
So either make all buildings enterable and add a wall climbing animation (yea right) or make the rope a bit more common.

1. Acquire PR server
2. Become the commander
3. Ban everyone who's not following your orders
4. ?????????
5. Profit

The problem with rope is that that you can climb almost anywhere in split of second. So it is a compromise between game and realism, you can't just say it's realistic in all its applications. And rope fast deployment can be easily abused as we saw in earlier versions. So having it more limited is good for game. Now ropes stays longer as well, so having too many specialists wandering on map will make server laggy.
And sniper doesn't need to get on every roof. Most maps have ladders and enerable buildings anyway. Like Muttrah, Beirut or Kokan.
