So you want to vote in Mod of the Year (MOTY) 2010 for your favourite mod(s)? Well this topic has all the information you need to know about voting.

First some information on how the MOTY voting works in Phase 2.
If you have already voted in Phase 1 you will be required to vote again in Phase 2 since the votes are reset at the end of Phase 1 voting. You can only vote for a max of 3 mods in Phase 2 with a registered account, so pick your top 3 mods, though you are not required to use all 3 votes you can just vote for only 1 or 2 mods if you may wish. Registered members votes are worth a lot more points than guest votes, so if you want your vote to count, log into an already existing account or crate a new account before voting, the longer your account has been registered for the more your vote is worth.

On how to vote, its very simple, first you need to go to this link here: 2010 Mod of the Year Awards event - Mod DB

After clicking that link you should see a list of game titles in two sections, one section called "Top 100 Released Mods of 2010", which includes all the top 100 mods that have been released, all listed under which game title each mod has been made for like PR:BF2 which is under the BF2 title and another section called "Top 100 Upcoming Mods of 2010", which includes all the top 100 mods that have not been released yet, all listed under which game title each mod has been made for like PR:ARAM2 which is under the ARMA2 title.

To Vote for a Mod, click on the game title the Mod is under in the correct section to expand it, then click on the "VOTE" button next to the mod you wish to vote for to vote for it. For example, if you wish to vote for PR:ARMA2, scroll down to the "Top 100 Upcoming Mods of 2010" section, expand the ARMA2 tab and vote for PR:ARMA2 in there.


Once you have voted for a mod the "VOTE" button will turn to "VOTED" and your done

dilemma, although i'd like to vote on PR. i'd also like to vote on Nightmare House 2 which i enjoyed alot as well.

ye, you can vote for 3 mods as stated above, so vote for all the mods you have enjoyed the most

can't vote for PR 3 times though :/

So does this mean ModDB approved PR to match its "major update" criteria, or is that still going to be determined later?

The site is not very clear where to navigate and vote.
That walkthorough should be a big help for many.

I figured it out though.

PR:BF2 was in v0.85 when we won MOTY 2008, now in 2010 we are at v0.95 with quite a lot of additions and tweaks since then.

But PR:BF2 can only be included in the top 10 released mods if we get 1st place, if we come 2nd or below, we wont be in the top 10 at all.

Can we ask PR Server ADMINS to please add a little reminder to vote for PR in their Server Rules / Messages?

Vast difference of course between those that visit the forums regularly and those that play the game.

So PRA2 will get released in 2010? Because its in the section for upcoming mods 2010...

It's a mod that is in production in 2010, doesn't mean it will be released in 2010
