In project reality, the reloads are slow.In real combat, you don't take your sweet time to reload your weapon.I think this would make the game more realistic.

If you're going to base your 'too slow' argument on the YT vids of tacticool reloads next to the sofa indoor or at shooting range then you gonna be disappointed with your thread locked

I'm not making any reference about you tube.I think in real combat a soldier wouldn't take his sweet time to reload his weapon.

Oh, I thought due to your name that you are in fact a USMC sniper and were basing this off RL military advice.
If you argue that a US marine can reload faster than an insurgent, which is probably true, BF2 cannot have 2 different reload speeds for 1 kit IIRC.
There's too many factions, kits, operational situations etc to realistically have all reload times as you would wish.

And the will of soldier makes the new mag teleport into shaft and old get into the pouch?
There was an awesome video, where it took about 15-20s to reload under enemy fire, i'll see if i can find it.
Not only you reload much faster in PR, you can do it at any stance, while sprinting faster than world's record sprinter. Yeah, PR is too slow.
Look at this ie, 2.40, about 8 seconds with mag thrown away, would take longer if he would put it back into pouch
In PR it takes about 4-5 seconds to reload C9, about 6 for AK-74

In combat you are going to brick it. You're scared, shaking with adrenaline and at the same time trying to desperately concentrate.
In this state a soldier can easily make mistakes. When reloading an L85 5.56 it often takes a good few more seconds than it should, just because the bloody mag gets snagged on the pouch.
Point is you can't simulate all these outside factors in PR

Reloads should be like this, minimum.

Do that while you have peoples shooting at you, gun dirty and jamming, hands swetty, and tracers going over your head.

Some soldiers get so used to combat that it's like being used to walking.

only when you're wielding an AR15 based platform
EDIT: scout snipah, you seem to ignore all evidence of your suggestion being wrong even when they slap you in the face with it.

COD/BFBC2/Various movies is/are not an accurate depiction of combat and should not be used as a reference for reality.
That is all.

OMG... anyone who is arguing that reloads should take shorter time is... dare I say it... ignorant.
The reload times we have now are a perfect compromise between all the different aspects of reloading.
Yes there are people who are crazy good at reloading. And then there's straight up soldiers who suck at it
Or at least don't take 2 seconds to reload (like the video)
Personally I think a good 7 to 10 second reload time is perfect.
And for freaking real, there are bigger fish to fry here gentlemen
Reanimating all the reloads for all the kits, just so some noobie can feel like he's playing call of duty would be a waste of time.
Are we really even freaking discussing this?

Well from my experience (of reloading an AK clone) and seeing my buddies do it, it does take a couple of seconds to change the magazine. You have to first take the magazine from its pouch, and there's some friction inherent to that. Then you have to insert the mag into the rifle, which can sometimes be problematic, especially, i'd imagine, if you're shaking and stressed by enemy fire.
Also, in winter your gear can be wet and frozen, which makes the pouches very stiff and therefore makes it harder for you to take mags out and put them back in.

Ever tried filling up an exam with someone screaming in front of you?
Have you ever tried reloading a gun while getting fired upon?
It's kinda like the same thing. Or so I heard.

The reload speeds arent about realism only, it helps slow down game play from bf2 or cod4...its what makes PR special

.I think in real combat a soldier wouldn't take his sweet time to reload his weapon.
Thats what you think. The military advisers who either have been through combat/know reload drills that are on the PR developer team, know better.
Try to think about this sort of stuff when making a thread. Did you really think anyone was going to take you seriously when you provide absolutely no source or reasoning for your suggestion?

The weapon reload time is just fine. If something needs to be reduced, that would be the time to pull your weapon (choosing some item in your kit and then switching back to rifle).

The Dev team has a number of Military Advisors...people who are currently serving, or have served. We'll take their word when it comes to reload times.
Also, keep in mind that in PR we can only have one reload animation, so it's not possible to have a fast combat one, and a slower out-of-combat one.
And next time, bring sources or you'll get an infraction.
