Okay, so I got a new computer
Specs:
-AMD Phenom II 64 bit X6 2.70 GHz
-Nvidia 9800 GT
-8GB DDR3 RAM
-Windows 7


My last computer ran Windows 7 and worked fine with BF2 and PR. I was just installing BF2 so I could get back into PR, and now I have issues running it. Here are the steps I took:

-Install BF2
-restart
-v1.50 patch attempt (message saying I already had latest version popped up)
-restart
-PR .95 parts 1 - 3
-restart
-test and fail
-test BF2 and fail


I have uninstalled and retried BF2 with no change. When I try to update to patch 1.50 it just says I already have the latest version, then when I try to start it it ask for the disk (I put in the disk, of course) and the splash screen shows, then after about 30 seconds it just closes. The same error happens when trying to open PR.

EDIT:
Got BF2 working, but it is still not accepting patch v1.50 for some reason

You need to install BF2 patch 1.41 prior to 1.5 (1.5 is only incremental).
