Its finally happened...the first problem Ive ever had with PRMM.
Today when I tried to start for some reason it booted to a black screen. So I tried BF2v and got the same thing.
Reinstalled...Tried after installing BF2v...worked fine.
Installed Patch 1.3...tried it....worked fine.
Installed PRMM....black screen.
Ive had it working before on this box. No Hardware has been changed since I last played.
EDIT : Wrong Board, sorry mods.

try opening vanilla and lowering your graphics settings then try PR. Could be the install file got corruptes as well. did you re-download the 1.3 and .3 full versions or increment patch to them?

Graphics are all set to default and I havent changed any hardware. I cant change the graphics settings now though. Since I installed PRMM, BF2v boots to a black screen also.
I used to incrimental patch from 3.06 to 3.14....like I always have, I am downloading the full 3.14 now though.
Cheers

Sounds to me like your video card is having a schitzo attack. Somthing must not have been opening or loading to vRAM properly.

Wish I could give you a sure fire way to sort it, but it just worked for me 15 minutes later. If you can get BF2v going, try launching PRMM from there.

I think it was my monitor - it booted up saying it was "out of range" so I hit "auto" and its all sorted.
Crisis averted, people.
