This bug causes the AAV to fly sky high into the air, and whilst comical, it can cause serious damage.

Steps to Reproduce

Not exactly known. Both times this has happened we were very close to a logistics truck, and we feel it may have lodged underneath and made the AAV fly.

this the result of ramming the vehicle depot tent sideways.

I was driving it both times, the first screenshot was when we backed up towards a logistics truck when turning around on the spot.

The second time, there was a logi inside the repair tent and we may have touched it or something.

Must be the US logi colmesh getting stuck on the vehicles then.

Hmm. I've actually never heard of this bug. I know of the result of sometimes driving over a fence and flying into the air, but not the Supply depot tent...

IMO its caused by the vehcile getting forced into the terrain by a buggy col mesh. Because the game engine doesnt want you to fall through the terrain, it forces you back up, kind of like a spring effect.

As you see in this video the humve sinks into the ground before being launched. I have noticed that everytime I have been launched into the air I would always sink into the ground a little.

I remember this same bug in Halo 2, you could perform "super jumps" by using a certain crouch technique, when you hit the ground you would fly up really high. Aparently it was caused by the player almost falling through the map and the engine forcing the player back up.

This is all just theory though, based on what I have seen and heard.

the reason for the fences throwing vehicles up in the air is due to the fences particles having col meshes, if they didn't have them they would fall though the fall instead of bouncing around for a bit but umm, when they interact with vehicles, everything goes wrong :p

Do the fences cause it just by touching vehicles, or could it be because they push the vehicle into the ground causing it to spring back up?

well when they just touch a vehicle on its own it seems fine but ye, might be like you said with the fence pushing the vehicle into the ground might be the issue.
