Hi All
I have just done a reformat and part rebuild.
Windows XP
amd athlon 64 (x2) Dual Core, 6000+ (new)
nVidia, GeForce GT 240. (new)
120GB HDD
2GB RAM
Whenever I play ANY games I am fine for about 10-30min. It then freezes, and I have to manually reset, which as you know harms the HDD.
Any ideas?
Cheers

Try to see if you're using up all your RAM at the time of the freeze, if so you'll have to stop background processes while you play. How much space do you have left on your HD? If you are close to the limit that could cause problems.

the GT240 (new) is a bit of a giveaway. i'm assuming it wasn't freezing before the new, card and if so - did you try the old one again?
What Forceware drivers were you using before, and what are you using now, and did you uninstall the old ones before removing your old card?
Drivercleaner might be your answer, or check the forceware revisions for bugs - as there are many.
BTW. nice sig image whatshisname55 (though a bit big for my taste
If someone with that card, can give an expert view of optimum version of forceware that would be good.
