Reasons People like PR

I was asking a few of my friends that play PR why they like it and what they think makes it special and they said things like "sound effects" and "larger maps". But I want to know why everyone else likes it!

Please reply and say why you like about pr! :D

Teamwork, realism, entertaining game modes (AAS), massive VOIP-communication, large, replayable and beautiful maps, atmospheric sound effects, lots of different roles to play (infantry, artillery, pilot etc.) and the maturity of the game community.

Project Reality for the win!

The community is a large portion of it for me. Comparison between the average VOIP message in PR (something along the lines of, hey, contacts in this general direction, should we engage?) and the average VOIP message sent over CoD or BF:BC (stfu newb, stop h4xing) is a pretty good example of this.

Sound effects is also a big thing for me, as I think the developers are pioneers in this aspect. But really, this points to the immersion factor, which is a huge plus for a tonne of players.

this community does it for me, the in game comradeship, which i see especially when guys go above and beyond to get their wounded out. every one putting the mission above them selves and that feeling we all do something together to achieve a greater good. I love the game play, its just right and i can see the future getting brighter all the time. i love all the equipment and the attention to small details to help immersion even though we rely on the BF2 engine.

i dream of the day PR2 sees the light of day..

Its the only game where a group of 6 strangers can play as if their long term clanmembers.

2 weeks ago i tried ACE. I thought it was the the greatest thing ever. A week into it i almost wanted to quit PR it was so good.

A week later i find myself coming back to PR and playing ACE less and less.

Immersion.

No other game i've ever played creates this level of immersive gameplay, and everything comes into that; sound effects, attention to detail, equipment, teamwork etc etc.

The fact that every game is different, and a community that strives to make the game as immersive as possible. Also enjoy the photogenic aspect. So many maps, vehicle, situations...that a storyline is limitless.
