Hi guys,
little 2012 update here.
Here is an extented version of the teaser I previously did (back in 2010).
It should have been longer, I originally wanted to make a 5 minutes long film from the whole battle with the kiowa and infantry point of views, but in january 2011, due to a computer crash, I lost 2 harddrives (make backups guys!) including the battlerecorder file of the game and footage I had started recording for the longer version.
I recently found an old backup of the final cut project with some extra footage at work, so I reworked it a little bit, added some cool angles I had cut from the teaser and inserted back a firefight as it happened on the ground.
I had a lot of fun doing this, but the BF2 Engine/Battlerecorder is a real pain in the butt to make a movie, it's way too limited, can't rewind, can't change the POV ingame (for close-ups), can't predict where people are going to be, you have to cheat in every shot you make to hide the BR lag, etc...
I had pretty much to launch the game about a hundred times to shoot and edit those 2 minutes of film, always trying to get that "perfect shot"...

First time flying the Kiowa on Qwai River, PRTA server, November, 13th 2010.
I edited this video from the BattleRecorder file.
This was a great game, I had a blast providing close air support because I was given plenty of targets thanks to the whole team communicating together on Mumble, improving the gameplay as always.
Special thanks to the )FoX( team who kept feeding me with real time intel on what was going on the ground and to my co-pilot [OD-S]Pirate[BE].
This is a teaser from the first 5 minutes of the game, I might edit a longer version, from the whole battle.
