Hi,
I noticed this bug on several maps now (Kozelsk, Barentz Invasion and I think some more) and its quite annoying. Whenever the sun is behind the terrain ( a hill for example) and I look in its direction, its corona (the light which blinds you and gets bigger when you look towards the sun) flashes through the terrain shortly every second.
my specs:
Windows 7 Pro 64 bit | AMD Phenom II X4 955 @ 3.2 GHz | Radeon HD 5380 @ 1 GB | Kingston 2x 2 GB DDR3 @ 1333MHz

ingame settings:
Everything High, AA 8x, AF 16x (ATICCC), 1680x1050@120Hz.
I think it still happened when i turned terrain on middle, but im not sure.

Not really, pretty sure its something that has to be edited by the mapper or developer, similar problem occurred with the old UAV on Fallujah.

no, i havent heard of the UAV bug, and i think thats not the answer to my question

the answer was already posted: old bf2 bug. however, this is not 100% correct cause its not actually a bug but the bf2 engine limitation afaik. lensflare occurs when you look into sun, even when the sun is blocked. the uav is a camera aswell, so you get a lensflare.
the lower the sun on a map, the higher the chance to look into the sun.
