[Help] Critical Helictopters

In response to this thread I decided to try and make the crippled effects more common, to make pilots and passengers **** themselves and increase the tension of an AA gunner as they watch their target try to rescue his aircraft.

Trouble is that there is pretty much no hope in hell of controlling it at the moment, purely because it's bloody mental.

I've made it so that about 60% of the time the heli doesn't just blow up when hit, but goes into this critical state, and on these occasions there is simply no hope in hell of the pilot regaining control and landing safely (although it is fun to try)

So what I'm asking is this: where is the code that dictates what happens to helicopters in their critical state?

lol, PM a dev. the devs are smart enough to not go anywhere near their inboxes.

+1, PMing a dev will do bugger all, especially considering I don't know who coded the critical effects

I think i saw some Blackhawks tailspining while hit by AA back in 0.7. Though may be it was done by the player or some kind of bug , but it looked really cool.

Yes it is very possible and easy to do Zerapup, I've modified the huey on my coop PR to go out of control when hit, and occasionally it does go blackhawk down-esque.

My problem is that it's too much, there's simply no hope in hell of recovering from a hit.
