Now Ive played PR for a few years and Ive always loved the music. I picked up guitar a year ago and Ive found out some parts of some of the loading songs.


I made this thread for those who play and for those who want to share insights, sheet, tabs, and ways to play music from PR.

I just wanted to make a thread to elaborate on all things PR (music wise ) and pay homage to alkali and pirate.

I love PR music threads! My favorite tracks are Main Menu, Heavy Resistance, the one for Muttrah (map19.mp3) and ehrm... map1.mp3 (great rythm section)!

I just wish the newer music had titles, too.

And this a really, really old recording of me playing the song that comes up when Russia loses: Link

Yeah some of them do some of them dont, if you go back to .85 or even .9 there was a music folder inside of the /mods/pr folder that had all of the themes w/ names + author.

and ofc the new .9 soundtrack. has a bunch more.


ahh i loved old muttrah, and al basurah as well.

My current favorite has to be a tie between Identity Crisis and the Project Reality Theme (Bonus Version) both by Scott Tobin (aka Alkali) and both found on the PR :O ST. I'd post some samples if I could, but I couldn't find any of them in Tobin's YT page or anywhere else for that matter.

i heard some of the samplers and those are good man.


Oh I figured out the Gaza Beach theme I believe.

Ah, I had gone through and converted all of the map# named songs into mp3's and used the OST that I bought on itunes to get their proper names. The ones from the PR folder are basically shortened versions of the songs from the full OST. I don't think I saved a key of the names though, I'll go through and name them for you sometime.

That would be great! And I'm actually considering buying the OST from iTunes myself, too. It's well worth it!

Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention it's sort of a version of this song called "Davay Za" by Russian band Lube (or Lyube).

And I wonder who was responsible for recording this to PR...

Its a remix of the original song, and was on the old Bi Ming Night from what I remember. Awesome song, has to come back for Shija Valley or some other Chinese map

This will always be the best song to come out of PR.

Hey, I was actually gonna say Bi Ming before I realized I could make a key of the song names and forgot altogether!
Lol a great song, but I never knew it was from PR!

To be honest, I don't like anything before 0:55 in that song, is there something wrong with me?

0.7ish I think, had the old background menu with the OGT temple as the first frame, good times.

Twas before the new UI too, still had the old BF2 one IIRC.
