System Freezes with looping sound forcing a hard restart.

After about a half hour PR and BF2 multiplayer always freeze with looping sound, nothing can't do anything to recover need to reboot the system.
I thought my GTX280 was overheating but it was not. I got NO BSOD or any temperature warnings, it stays at around 60 under load with fans on full throttle.
Help!
