Welcome to the first Highlight of 2011,
first of all I want to thank [R-Dev]Rudd for his awesome start on this map. It is a honor to finish it.
Since Rudd retired I took over this project for [R-Dev]Hauteclocque and the French Forces and I am looking forward to finish it this year.
Name: Jungle Fire
Factions: France vs China
Size: 4km
Location: Southeast Asia
The Map will feature AASv4 and will use 5 different routes with up to 6 flags in play.
The PLA will have the superiority on the ground with MBTs, APCs and Light APCs while the French Forces will use only a few MBTs, APCs and Light APCs but have air supremacy with Transport and Attack helicopters.
And last but not least, I would like to thank the PR Team for the help and support on my projects and I hope we'll have a successful year 2011.
Happy New Year

Just thanks mate.
Me and Haute have worked on the German community faction, and now you and Leusch work on our faction. French-German cooperation, always on top.

Going pretty well, expect new highlights/blogs in the following weeks

(Should be something regarding what was featured in last FH2 news

, though there won't be new stuff (models), but stuff new for PR for sure

)

Do I sense some inspiration from the French in Vietnam?
Anyway, very nice - the jungle setting's great. That said, the trees look slightly radioactive from certain angles.

Lookin fine, is that the limit of flora or are we going to see some more? Seems a bit bland and thin for south-east Asian jungle.
Good to see the jungle themed maps making a comeback.

Good to know. I'm not talking mega OGT thick, just thick enough so there is decent cover from thermals, similar to Wanda Shan but with some more variation in the overgrowth lower to the ground.
Have you thought of a placeholder for the French before they're finished?

Nice looking map. Trees look really weird though, like a neon green. :/ (I guess that is because the lighting isn't fully implemented yet ?). I also agree with the above poster; the flora doesn't really look southeast Asian-y.
Also; transport choppers on a jungle map? :O
Finally, I hope there are a few "landmarks" implemented into the quadrants that are just jungle. It seems like the entire top left corner of the map is just a bunch of trees. I still have nightmares of running through the endless jungles of Tad Sae. While jungle combat is cool, a small village or some abandon wrecks or a large hill allows for more interesting gameplay overall.

very nice map

i love how a team has ground assets and the other has air assets. I always wanted maps like that. LOVE IT

now u dont waste the first 10 minutes of the map looking for the enemy chopper and go to >9000 altitude.
thank you PR

Minimap:

Looks like river boats could be very useful here as a way of getting around (until you'r ambushed). CSB's should play a very important role on this map, will be interesting to see how it will play out.
Happy New Year!
Edit: Forgot to say good work. Good work!

There are large, open spaces inbetween the trees and considering this is the size of Kashan, transports should be pretty successful.

Yeah river boats will make for a great Apocalypse Now: Redux mentality.
Great looking map. I will be looking forward to defending the large Buddha statues to the death
