Ok well I'm back once again to see If anyone can help me with my problem with PR. I will list exactly what I've done to eliminate all confusion.

1. Uninstalled and deleted all BF2 and PR files including all saved games, maps, mods; anything with PR or BF2 in the name I deleted. Rebooted.
2. Installed BF2 with disks 1, 2, and 3 in their correct order respectively. Rebooted.
3. Installed BF2 patch 1.41 from Fileplanet and placed it in Computer>Local Disk C:>Program Files>EA GAMES. Rebooted.
4. Installed BF2 patch 1.50 from Fileplanet and placed it in Computer>Local Disk C:>Program Files>EA GAMES. Rebooted.
5. Here I noticed that there was a file in Computer>Local Disk C:>Program Files>EA GAMES that said "Battlefield 2" not BF2 and had a lock over the file icon. Whenever I went to save a patch before downloading it directed me here but whenever I went to Computer>Local Disk C:>Program Files>EA GAMES manually through the my computer button and not through the menu while trying to save before a patch download the file had dissappeared and the computer said it no longer existed. I'm not sure if this means anything but I found it curious.
6. Installed all 3 parts of PR in their correct order respectively.
7. Installed Mumble.
8. Right clicked the PR icon and ran as admin. The PR icon came up with a box saying something about reinput my options when I got in game then that icon dissappeared and the BF2 one came up with a error saying "Unable to find BF2Audio.dll module" which didn't seem to matter as the screen then went black like it was loading then crashed back to my desktop after about 3 or 4 seconds.

Yes I have tryed the fix for pr.exe problems to replace the icon target in properties which didn't work.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Basic which was upgraded from Windows Vista Basic with an upgrade disk. PR ran just fine on Windows Vista.

If anyone has any ideas on this problem PLEASE comment, I love this game and I am tearing my hair out trying to figure out what the hell the problem is with this game.

First though is some corruption somewhere along the line.
First check thoroughly for viruses/malware
I'm also guessing that you downloaded (and) installed those two patches 1.41 and 1.50 (sorry if this is an obvious point).

- Does vanilla BF2 operate fine first?
- Do you have issues with any other games?
- Has PR never run since the upgrade from vista?
- Have you replaced all your drivers with Win7 ones?

I had the same yesterday, try to disable the compatible mode, it helped for me somehow, and try to run as Admin.
If you have the same with starting BF2 try this;
go to the PR-shortcut and BF2.exe properties > compatibility > enable "disable visual effects", "disbable desktop composition" and "disable display scaling on high DPI"

One of these things fixed it for me.

Also try to copy the bf2audio.dll into your PR folder.

Darkpowder, yes, vanilla did work just fine, i tested it after running patches 1.41 and 1.50. And yes of course I downloaded and installed. I saved the patches to my desktop while they were downloading and when they were complete I moved them to my EA GAMES folder. They couldn't be run they both were only files. Did I download the wrong thing?
No, I have no issues with other games, just this one.
No, PR hasn't ever worked since I upgraded. I might be worth mentioning that my computer started out as an XP. PR worked fine on XP. The computer was upgraded to Vista because a video card burned itself out and locked up the system so I was forced to take it to a Microsoft emplyee I know to have him restore the computer. He installed Vista Buisness while he was restoring the system not home basic, that's my mistake.
By drivers I'm not sure what you mean, I'm not super great with computers so I really wouldn't know.

WithoutPurpose, I've tried what you said and It did not work. I copied and pasted the BF2Audio.dll in my pr folder and it still says that it's missing. ????

Drivers are the things that come with new hardware, on a DVD, or you might see your computer saying "installing device drivers" when you put a new hardware device or card i.e. a USB stick into your PC.

Each operating system - Vista, Windows 7 etc requires its own drivers, and there are very few drivers that are the same across various operating systems.

Check Device manager (right-click manage - then select device manager from the left window) and list key devices, like the audio, and your GFX card (Display Adaptors) , and your motherboard type, those are the areas drivers must be OS-perfect for.

If you haven't been to nvidia.com for Nvidia cards for example, and installed the latest forceware, or to your motherboard manufacturer and looked it up on their website i would recommend doing so.

If you have upgraded from XP to Vista to Windows 7, then irrespective of your problem I would suggest backing up everything important and doing a fresh install. If you are not 100% confident on doing this, then find a technical friend to do so. It's a far better starting point for any problems. I hope you have a copy of Win7 you can install straight away without installing vista first.

On the subject of BF2Audio.dll, i've seen this symptom myself now, the message coming up after VOIP died part way through a game, and after quitting out of PR.
"Without Purpose's" advice was followed but didn't bring back VOIP, the symptoms being no VOIP test possible in the audio-options (This is not the VOIP wizard - which often fails to work with USB headsets and still works in-game fine).

Win 7 Audio options showed the microphone recording device "disconnected" and "greyed out", but as soon as it was physically disconnected and re-connected the mic levels were visible there and then worked fine in-game with no changing of settings.

Win 7 32 as Win XP or Vista 32 crash more often then a 64 Bit, cause of BF2 MemLeak.

Try 64 Bit.
