Flares Are Widely Used In Modern Combat To Signal Soldiers And Illuminate Enemy Targets

I want you to focus on the '...communication between friendlies...' aspect. The short informative article even gives us a little tidbit, '...red flare, signalling distress on the battlefield...'. It also mentions that they come on standard Marine equipment.

It would also be nice to have a visual marker for other squads to follow. Green = support needed/rally on me, red = need medics, purple = enemy cache/fob/inf/whatever.

Would make scouting just awsome...

Tbh you can place markers on the map to fairly the same effect :/

What would be nice would be ground markers, small smoke canisters launched from UGLs to mark targets, especially now 3d Markers are gone.
