Make Weapon Caches more realistic

Ive been playing insurgency and realized a great way to improve it. This is just an idea i thought up while playing as collaborator.
Basically, you spawn as a collaborator or maybe a kit with a pistol no assault rifle or any combat effective weapons. The only way you can get a main weapon (ak-47, ak74, etc) is by getting one off a cache. Now the cache will be a room filled with many kits or maybe you can request a few kits from it (rifleman, officer, sapper, etc). That way, people will be forced to spawn at the caches and not spawn in the main base only to wait for a vehicle. More people will spawn at the cache, disperse around it and feel much more like insurgency.
Just a thought.

So instead of spawning with weapons, you spawn without one and have to pick it up from the cache right away anyway? Sounds redundant.

What happens when you spawn at a hideout? Run around until you find weapons?

lol like i said.. not a refined idea.. request kits from hideout? walk to the cache to get one? Have crates/vehicles where you can request one?

Leave as is imo.

I feel like like a consistent stream of 64+ weapons spawning (2 caches 32 players, enough kits to stock the team + special kits) would not be in the best interest of a server. Seems like it would create to much unnecessary stress, although I could be wrong, either way this sounds flawed, sure a new Taliban recruit might have to go to cache for his weapon at first but I doubt an insurgent has to wake up every morning and go retrieve his weapon from the cache, they probably have their weapon on them or near them as much as any other military.

In most cases, the insurgents are likely to have some form of advanced notice that NATO forces are about to begin combat operations in their city. PR simulates the beginning of each round at the point in which the insurgents have already had time to begin setting up and just before the NATO forces reach the outskirts of the town.

What you're suggesting is we start having people spawn in at their farms tending to opium fields or sitting in their house eating Shawarma. While the insurgents start off unarmed and having to frantically run to a cache and grab a weapon, the NATO all start off back in their FOB smoking cigarettes and taking that one last shit before the fight.

What I'm saying is, there is no need to make things more complicated or add unimportant actions to a game like this. If it were Second Life or some wannabe "life game" maybe, but not a action-shooter MOFPS.

Well don't expect other people to refine it for you. Although this suggestion is significantly more realistic, spawning in and getting a kit is pointless. Not only is there just a larger margin of time to actually get to the fight added, but the base kit will be helpless to defend caches even though they can stand there and watch the cache be destroyed by the BLUFOR.

In addition to that, insurgents with the base kit that were unable to get a standard AK kit or what have you are now easy targets for arresting, causing more caches to get revealed, and longer spawn times.

If you want things like this to be taken seriously, develop your idea and then post it. I - more importantly the developers - don't want a half-baked paragraph of something extremely basic without even taking in proper consideration.

Part of that process is searching:

Players would spawn in unrevealed caches, giving away their position. And I think it's fine as it is; I'm not sure I'd agree with this.

some time ago i was thinking about something similar:

all insurgents are spawning as civilians in safe places like villages or houses and then some of them go and grab a weapon from a cache so they become insurgents and attack coalition forces as they want.

it could look and feel more realistic, lots of civilians, traffic on the roads and sometimes firefight or ied explosion. insurgency now looks like whole city vs coalition and it is so deadly to play as blufor, you cant even drive through the city

but i have no idea how would it work out..
