Anyone solve the freezing problem?

I posted about this problem a while ago after .95 came out. The game freezes my computer, usually after about 30 minutes, but sometimes I can play for an hour or so. Settings don't affect it. The map doesn't affect it. My install doesn't affect it. My computer doesn't affect it. It's Windows 7 and PR. I've tried everything ever suggested and I've seen other people with the same problem, yet the problem persists. I am thinking at this point I will have to say goodbye to PR because no one seems to have an answer. Maybe the next patch will fix the issue.
Anyone have any ideas?

Can you elaborate?
Does it hardware lockup your machine requiring you to power it off. Is it accompanied by any beeps or error messages?
Please also list:-
How you installed BF2, PR, and Punkbuster?
Operating system version, and Hardware components with driver versions if you know them.
Which PR known issues / fixes have you already tried?
Do any other games give you similar issues?
Have you updated punkbuster from pbsetup recently?

Yes, it locks up the computer completely. The screen freezes and the computer will not respond to anything but a hard shut down. The only sound I hear is a rapid loop of the last sound I could hear in the game (like a milisecond's worth of sound).
I installed BF2 with the original CD, then installed all the patches. This would be the second complete re-install of everything after deleting everything completely and downloading fresh copies. I even tried downloading a copy of BF2, using my original CD key to see if that was the problem (it wasn't). I tested BF2 out and it ran flawlessly, just as it did before. Punkbuster and PR were installed properly and worked perfectly in the past on my old computer, which first ran Vista. My old computer's hard drive broke (probably due to age and stress from games like Civ 5), so I got a new one with Windows 7 on it. PR had also just updated to .95, and that's when the freezing problem began. I got a brand new computer that is significantly over-powered in every way, thinking that my hardware was at fault, but from day one I ran into the same problems. No other game gives me even the slightest issue, even on max settings.
I'm going to attempt to install Vista on my second partition on my hard drive to see if PR will work on that.
As I said, I've tried everything ever suggested to me, so it's looking like a coding issue in conjunction with windows 7. I don't understand why it only seems to happen to some windows 7 users and not all, but the fact that it has happened on two completely different systems in my possession tells me that it can't be hardware related.

I resolved the issue.
I set up my computer to dual boot in Win 7 and XP. Then I installed everything on the XP side and it worked perfectly, except for the mic being too quiet bug, but I've been able to get around that by tinkering with my settings. I played for several hours with the settings maxed and only had one random problem where the game closed when I pressed atl+tab (even though I installed the hotfix for that), but that might have just been a fluke.
So this tells us quite clearly that the issue is a combination of the new PR patch and Win7, and not some mystery hardware problem.
