AT-BRDM on Dragon Fly turrent doesnt move

Ive recently played Dragon Fly on the H server and while gunning for the AT/TOW BDRM ive notice the turret can move less than 5 degrees. Ive tried getting out and hopping back in, letting someone else try it and also died and re-spawned another AT-BDRM but the problem still exists. When you move it, it feels like if the turret hasnt warmed up yet and is inoperative and yet ive waited 5+ minutes

The vehicle needs to be on a flat location and stopped , then it takes 8 secs to active the turret

Yea, confirm what bessert said. That's a really long 8 seconds while waiting to light up an enemy armor

The missile rack has to be stable in order for it to work properly. 8 seconds is the approx time. It does the same with the bradley missiles.

Wasn't it 30 seconds or something stupidly long in the previous version? I remember coming up behind a tank and praying that it wouldn't turn around and see us while it settled.

No, this feature was introduced in 0.95.

Nabs, its 15 seconds max, stop and w8 till u can move the turret. Just use it BRDM for defense/camping, glad this change was introduced cuz otherwise its just OP driving up to tanks with 5 missiles u can spam.

Just gotta wait 8 seconds for the birds in the barrels to fly away, then you're good.

8 seconds seems short though, I remember it taking 30 seconds or something around that.

Apart from initial warm up when you entered the vehicle there were no other restrictions before, you could fire anytime after warm up, even on the move.

I went through this with another guy. I had thought it wouldn't let you fire until the warm up time was over. For a while, we thought the gun was extra sensitive to vehicle damage. To further our suspicion, when a logi brought in repairs and we stopped at the repair station, it unlocked. XD
Props to player Mouthpiece who enlightened us on the fly.

Yeah Dtacs, theres the warm-up time which is 30 seconds, then theres the wire-guided ATGM restriction which requires a stable (mostly stationary) platform that takes about 8-15 seconds to attain.

Yep, done that on Fools Road in the past. Just drove up behind the tank on the road and rammed a few missles up his *** and just drove right on by without even slowing down.

Ya, it takes like 10 sec, but depends what you drove on. Anyways, its a lot better this way, cause the vehicle IRL does not have hydro-pneumatic suspension to keep it perfectly stable

while moving.... Also, use it as an ambush vehicle, it is small and fast, so you can find lots of good hiding spots. Just remember to have a driver that is not mentally challenged.
