Problem with usb 3.0 & FAT32

Hi, I just got my self a new Western Digital My Passport external HDD with usb 3.0. I managed to get the USB 3.0 to work but when I plugged in the HDD to my PS3 I couldn't reach the files (because I had to format it to FAT32 in order to work with the PS3.)
Anyhow, now that I've formated the HDD usb 3.0 won't work, is this FAT32 related or do I just need to download the drivers again?

Installing the USB 3 drivers should work unless FAT32 conflics with it. What exactly is FAT32? I've never heard of it before.

Sorry but I contain no info related to the main topic.
FAT32 is a file system in Windows...
If I am not wrong Windows XP uses or older versions...
However, If I am not wrong again, Windows Vista and 7 both use NTFS file system.

Ah, I see. Thanks Punkbuster. Odd though that PS3 reads FAT32 only, you would think it's new enough for NTFS.
But with that info, I don't see any reason installing the USB 3 drivers won't fix the issue.

It's not that Sony doesn't want to use em, but 360 already uses NTFS, so basically you can buy Xbox Exclusives and play on a PS3 basically.
