This scope reticule thread should be good organized and put in the stickie-column.

The scopes in-game are not yet accurate.. Apart from the SPG's.
Just use the crosshairs as the aim-point and treat as ironsights.

What just happened? Lol
All I meant was that the optics' range markers aren't yet calibrated (apart from the SPG) - i.e. If you put the 200m elevation bit on the tank 200m away the rocket will not go there.

The most basic thing is to go out and test these weapons at the range and see for yourself how the sights work.

Hello

For all HATs, LATs, the rounds go into the middle of the screen, so their reticules (apart from LAW) are not acurate. I.e. the RPG optics are not acurate.
Law and maybe MEC LAT might be accurate because their sights are not directly in the middle of screen.
Also these distance measuring instruments we see in scopes (see RPG sight above) are not acurate in PR - so dont use that thingy in SVD to measure distance to target, use markers.
As for SPG:

third post on that page
and you can anytime load a local map and try this stuff right away.

The easiest way i found to learn new weapons is to tap "Q" to bring up the comms rose, and where ever the middle of the circle is, thats where the main point of aim is. if the target is further away then the weapons range, then aim just a little above your target.
Although some weapons, like the FOB AT launcher, is guided and doesn't need to be compansated for, just like the BF2V AT kit.
i'll go screenshot the sights and light the crosshairs in red right now.
Edit: These are the sights that you said in your OP, just ask if you want any others clarified.
A great way to find out this stuff is to spend some time on Co-op (PRSP), as stated before in the thread.

I've marked the aim points in red, but for further away targets you need to guess where to aim accordingly.
Again as stated before, the SPG sight is the only one that works like the real life counterpart, so the 2 means 200m, 3 means 300m and so on.
The rest of the sights use the "Q" method and just estimate how much higher you need to aim, practice comes perfection.

Thanks finally, this helps alot. Seems, like I was firing RPG wrong way HAHAH............ so i had to rush enemy tank close range. (NOT ADVISABLE)
Also for M72 do you aim at 50 if it is 50m away?

Yes, and no.
The 50m mark is the center of aim, but the only workin sight is the SPG, all others u can't use the markings on the sight to aim at range.
I believe the 50m mark on the M72 works from 0 up to 75m?? after that you need to move the aim up just a little bit every so often, it's a bit hard to know, thats where you need expeirance.

when zoomed in with the 40mm on the AAV7 it is ranged properly for the HUD

ahk, didn't know that, cheers AM

Did some more testing with the M72 just to explain it abit better.
The red line is where i was aiming at to hit something 400m away.

This is where it hit

Every sight in PR doesn't line up the range with the marks, except the SPG and the AAV7 40mm WHEN zoomed in.
It's fair easy to learn, but best do it on Co-op than MP sever.
