Hello one and all!

Welcome to this first post about a new and exciting idea by myself (Wicca) and Herbiie! We propose to make a ?News Paper? for Project Reality, with articles about the awesome MOD. Maybe some cool interviews with devs, and alot of individually made columns by our writers! Our main ojbective is to promote PR, and mumble. For new players and old, and maybe a good laugh. We also want to give you insight into PR, by putting some cool guides in there or similar.

Here is the first edition.

We have only just started, so bear with us the new "troubles". We will release one edition per month. And try to fill it with as much cool stuff as possible, that being said, any help is welcomed

I would like to inform everyone, that this project was started by me, and me only, and i retain the full right to close it down or remove it, this is a private project for the PR community and is not affiliated with the PR team in any way.

Right now, its a wall of text. So more "pictures" Will help us all keeping our eyes inside our faces. Also hosting it on an FTP, or dedi box instead of media fire. Maybe even a plugin that i can use on some website, so you just read it off that?

That was neat! Though I'd like to see better use of paragraphs. Also it seemed to me that there was a bit of text missing between columns 3 and 4 on page 2.
If you're looking for an image editor to make covers, icons, and that sort of stuff I might be interested...

Don't know what happened to the PR magazine, the demo came out and it was pretty great but I think its died off.

Liked the interview with L4gi, font just needs some editing to make it easier on the eyes.

So you're making a highlights and blog section on the forums?

Oliver Lee left school at 16, with a pitiful amount of qualifications. He got a job in a department store, and started to lead a dull, uninteresting life. One day, walking from the bus stop across the dreary, grey market square of Nottingham, he saw what looked like a market stall through the drizzle. Curious, he approached it, and saw two quite large men dressed head to toe in camouflage, wearing Green Berets. It was a recruitment stall for the Royal Marines. There was a small television playing a recruitment DVD. Despite already being late for work, Oliver stopped and watched it. It was an action packed film, full of marine firing weapons and jumping out of boats into water. Oliver wasn’t quite sure why, but it seemed like something he wanted to get involved with. Realising he was late for work with a curse, Oliver ran through the miserable rain to the shop. The next day, he went to the Armed Forces Career’s office, and applied to join the Royal Marines.

Six years later he was a Corporal, and on a boat, sailing to attack a country he’d barely heard of.

I'll reiterate what some others have said: A little generic looking, the formatting seems a little off. You should have more columns, less length (i.e. webpage size vs. sheet-o-paper size)

Also I think if you presented it in more of a "magazine" format you might have better luck. You could try

And offer it as a benefit of a realitymod.com supporting membership for example, or give someone a supporting membership if they buy a subscription

Its just a wall of text atm yes.

I dont think i can get money for this, and its all made for free.

i liked it very much especially L4gi interwiew. but font realy needs to be changed

As said before there are some formatting issues which make the interviews hard to get through, but that's fixable.

What is the approximate wordcount on any articles that are submitted?

Great initiative guys! I love it.

Nice initiative, let's hope you can make it happen, as it's a lot of work to keep things interested.

Guys, remember this is only a first release. It doesn't have to be perfect. I'm sure the next version will be a lot better already when it comes to layout, images, etc, etc.

Great Idea really!

The forums along with other affiliated websites can be really muddled with information. selective info from different branches and other relative mods would give people a good view of what some of the more intense internet users are seeing through the lense of your newspaper.

You know i'll be pumping spam your way for the obituaries.

Thanks for the interesting reading material. This idea has huge potential (knowing how fine and interested is PR's community). And I for one also learn to play by reading stuff like that. Every experience counts.

Thats awesome!! You guys should totally make a "funny paper" section! I think that would go great with a PR magazine!

I liked this idea a great deal! The interviews were cool, and I was actually in the one's Oreely and L4gi mentioned as their favorite matches, which was pretty funny. I'd like to see more!

Considering the hilarity that is the random "MsPaint your best/worst PR moments" that crop up on the forums every month or so, a funny paper section probably wouldn't be too hard.
