Hi all. Me and a friend of mine play 1vs1 skirmish via internet. What I noticed is that neither I nor he can heal ourselves. When we take a medic kit and try to heal when being injured nothing happens. We keep bleeding to death. The way I heal when playing on internet servers works as supposed to (usually AAS and Insurgency maps, standing straight and looking down while holding fire button), but being on skirmish, me connecting to him - healing doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Yep, the local server causes this bug. Self-healing is actually a bug anyway, that was just accepted as a feature by everyone. This bug only appears on dedicated servers. Probably because the information "I heal" is sent to the dedi server which then looks for the closest individual in the line of sight and then heals it. Since the closest individual is yourself, and looking down while standing / up while prone basically means looking at where your body would be, the server heals you. At least that's how I imagine it works. On a local server, the things are calculated client-side, and since you can't see your own body, it doesn't exist for the game, since it doesn't even bother loading it, as opposed to the dedi server.

Though whether this is the problem or something else, medics still have tons of field dressings, and due to their number they also rearm faster at crates and stuff (and they are all over the place in Skirmish), so you can still use the medic kit to your advantage.

Just a bug. It's happened to me a couple of times before too mate.
