same problem here.
Im running Win 7 Ultimate 32
I had the problem where i could not even start the game but that sorted itself out. now i cant get onto maps

Delete your "Battlefield 2" folder under My Documents. There are your player profile settings stored.
Then start the game, retrieve your account and apply all your sound/video/controls settings again.
Sometimes the user profile gets screwed up.

Then I think your BF2/PR installation might be screwed.

Do every step even if you think it's not necessary.
