Insurgent faction arty IED kit bug

This can be recreated on any insurgency that features insurgent faction IED pickup kit (fallujah west, al basrah).

The weapon menu shows 2 different colored IED selections, but if you place one arty IED then the other color option is disabled.

This makes it unable to place 2 different artillery IED's as intended by developers.

You can refill your ammo and then place the second one iirc. It's supposed to allow you to place two, while limiting you to only carry one at a time. Makes setting up an ambush require a bit more work since you need an ammo source but shouldn't let it give away your position, hence you need proper planning.

^^^ this is correct.


you need to refill your ammo to get the second and place it under a different fuse....or place it under the same fuse for twice the boom.

Ive had 2 set up on each fuse at one point (im not quite sure what max is 5 iirc)

I can confirm up to five artillery IED's can be placed and successfully detonated per color channel. This takes quite a bit of ammo to accomplish however, involving either multiple trips back to a cache or multiple supply runs with an ammo truck. I have not tested more than five IED's at once.
