AASV4.V128 General Discussion

perhaps if the devs can figure out how to optimize 128 players on a server AASV4.V128 game mode should be the next step . . . .. only adequite servers sholuld run at 128player settings. . Maps would need to be developed to incorporate more assets and less objects to peak performance . . flags and 4KM maps only . . .
Since AASV4 is already under construction it would make sense to continue work on a 128 version.

Should Global chat be disabled for AASV4.128? ? If its a possibility only allowing Squadleaders and commanders to global chat we should work on that . . . even for team chat.
What are some other Modifications that would need to be adressed?
Give some imput ( especialy the people who played on the 128 server )

I think once the initial hype about the 128 player servers is over, the global chat spam should die down, meaning that chat might be worth leaving on. The main problem with the 128 player servers that i noticed was largely the lack of transport, but not so much other assets. I think armored assets should be kept at their current numbers with just simply an increase in Humvees and trucks etc.
Also i feel there may need to be changes related to firebases. Because it only takes two soldiers nearby to stop spawns, on a 128 player server this is going to increase the chance of firebases becoming unusable due to stray soldiers. I think increasing the limit to around 4 soldiers should be more reasonable.
Changes may need to be made to how Rally points work as well, although if transport assets are properly managed maybe not, i guess itl all come out during testing, but there is definitely a lot of work that needs to be done with transport balance.

To be noted that this was only a test. I think Ancient said it was coming to PR but not anytime soon. Plus the DEV's have already said that they will make the accommodations for a 128 slot server IF they chose to have 128 slots.

I think completly the same, more light transport and trans chopers, everytching else schould stay on the same number.

In here i don't agree, now when we have so much inf it's imposible for 2 solidiers to come enought close to make OR. I think OR range schould be bigger(to avoid becoming like other FPS "Charge, shot shot shot, deatch, reaspawn, charge..."), and distance betwen FBs should be bigger.

This was an initial test and work must now begin on optimising the game and gameplay to fit the requirements set by 128 players (or whatever limit is decided) per server. Obviously that will encompass gamemodes as well as all manner of other aspects of the game and as such we are not accepting specific suggestions on this process.
