AA rockets killing caches. Realistic or not?

Currently in PR AA rockets will kill caches. Is this realistic or not? The Stinger (the only usable AA by BLUFOR in insurgency) has a 2?3 kg warhead and goes about 700 m/s.
Is it not possible for a FIM-92A Stinger warhead to destroy a cache full of explosive materials?

It probably is plausible. The hard part would be to make the missile actually hit if you're firing it from the launcher

Would the missle require a heatsource to actually fire?

The AA missile does NOT require a heat source to fire. Instead, it fires a unguided rocket that is completely harmless to vehicles or people.
As a matter of fact, why does Blufor have acess to the AA kit in insurgency?

Harmless as in very inaccurate? Isn't the missle armed before being put into the launcher or does a heatsouce only activate it?

Is it possible to not prevent it from damaging caches but instead make it so that it does damage to the cache similar to a HAT kit (e.g. make the blast less like C4 and more like a Rocket)?
If it is possible for an AA rocket to damage a cache then shouldn't it remain that way ingame?
Or simply to do a patch (like with the German AT weapons on Silent Eagle) and remove it from insurgency?

havent tried lately but back in 0.85 you used to be able to kill people who were behind objects or inside vehicles with AA rocket as it used to have 50meter or so splash damage radius.

I have taken damage from AA missile shrapnel twice in 0.957, but it's not in the least effective.

Because if you have an AA kit, then the enemy can't get the superior M4/G36/M16/L85. Same reason people take snipers for CQC now.

Not realistic, because MANPADS have a minimum altitude at which they can engage targets, like 15m above ground level for example, hence, since the caches are at ground, the missiles wont explode.
