Dual monitor question

Ok so my brother is using his old monitor, so i figured why not try a dual monitor setup with this 19" ? so i am, if i get use out of it ill keep it, if not ill lose it.

I want, and currently have, Gaming on one screen and mumble/xfire/browser on the 19". This is great as it allows me to monitor them without alt tabing, but to use them on the other screen it alt tabs my game. Any way to correct this? do any of you have a dual monitor set up? what do you use it for.

I guess its because them programs are still being run on my main monitor, anyway to give the second a task bar of its own and run programs on it? or will i need another computer for that?

Don't think it can be changed. The fullscreen app loses focus and jumps back to Windows. If it can be fixed, I wanna know :p .

There's this little program called "MultiMon Taskbar", which I use at work as well. Works very nice! There's a free version available: MultiMonitor TaskBar

Only applications running on a screen will appear in the taskbar on that screen. And by using hotkeys, you can put windows from screen 1 to screen 2 and vice versa, so you don't have to drag them all the time.

Cool program AD I will have to use that now. And there is no way to change it sadly I have looked for programs to fix it but to my knowledge there isn't (Might not be possible with windows) alt tabbing may be the only way.

As far as I know, this is not possible on a Windows OS (idk about others.) It's just the way Windows handles fullscreen programs, so clicking on the other screen is like alt tabbing from the game. You could try running the game in windowed mode but extending the window across the whole screen depending on how the game renders in windowed mode.

You can ignore deactivation of windows with help Actual Multiple Monitors (Ctrl-Alt-Shift-I by default).

Moreover it is the best multi-monitor software (Comparison of MM software - Wikipedia), which supports all Windows 7 features on all desktops.
