When i had Vista on my PC i had all the problems you can think of with PR.

Now i have Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit and still have the same problems:

PR crashes for no reason/no reason given
PR wont load
PR crashes after loading maps.

I have tried all the different target names to start PR in and its just the same problem as Vista.

Is it my PC that just cant handle PR? PR seems to be the only game i have ever had trouble with.

What is the ideal set up to run PR ?

this is my set up

Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
Manufacturer: Dell Inc.
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory:3070MB RAM
Hard Drive: 434 GB X 2
Video Card:NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

Is your graphics card up to date? I had ctd but I uninstalled my drivers (so it reinstalled the default version) and everything works fine now. Make sure textures are set to medium also. I also found a postabout people having ctd issues on battlefield on the 1.5 patch and someone went to the trouble of testing it on loads of different nvidia cards with different drivers so try different versions of drivers for your gfx card

To find the cause of the crash you need to see the error when it crashes. Run PR in windowed mode and you should see the error dialog box when it happens.

Here is Jaymz's post about how to run in windowed mode:
Jaymz wrote:So here's how you, forum goers, can help. The simplest way to find a cause for a CTD error is to run PR in windowed mode. In the vast majority of cases, when a CTD occurs, anyone playing in windowed mode will get an error message upon crash which will contain the details of what has caused the crash.

All you have to do is just play PR! Granted it's windowed mode, but just play like you would normally.

So here's the steps required,

1. Run PR in windowed mode,
right click your PR shortcut and go to properties
In the Target section, add a space and then "+fullscreen 0" (if it's already there and set to 1, just set it to 0)
To switch back to full screen, just set it to 1 instead of 0

2. Play PR!!!

3. If you get a CTD and an error message pops up,
Press "Ctrl+C" to copy the error message
Alternatively, you can hit "print screen" and upload the image of the CTD + error window for us.
