Doods, you've got it wrong
I'm usually not pedantic on this kind of **** but it was the Australians and Brits that trained the Dolphins, not the yankees
The US has also engaged in training dolphins for EOD work and other tasks for a few decades. One unconventional use during the Vietnam War was to counter VC/NVA combat swimmers attempting reconnaissance and sabotage at the US Navy facility at Cam Ranh Bay. The dolphins were reportedly fitted with a harness attached to a modified compressed-air "sharkstick." For those unfamiliar, this device injects a large burst of air into the target upon impact, causing them to, well, pop like a balloon. LOL Not that amusing. Probably more like in Deepstar Six, if you were able to stand that movie.[R-DEV wrote:Black Beret]Just like in Live and Let Die, eh?![]()
