Ok my friend and i have been trying to get PR .957 to work on his computer for almost a week now really wanting to play with him, but the problem is when tries to play the game the main menu comes up like it should no problem- but when he tries to load a map it goes nowhere. He left it there for about an hour and it got to 1%.

Running windows 7 64bit- Looked online for other people with the same problem but only found one guy. looking for help

Any updates on this issue? I have someone in our TS right now having this issue...

I would love to say i had a fix to this, we ended up getting the game through steam instead of using a game disc and that fixed it for him.

Huh that's weird... Did you patch BF2 the right way?
You have to patch to 1.4 before patching to 1.5.. Don't try to patch to 1.5 straight away. There are known issues with that aproach.

I guess Steam auto updated the game?

Yeah didn't have to patch anything through steam, we patched the game properly doing it from the cd just didn't work oddly enough.
