FLIR Hotkey

Checked AAS and Searched. Nothing.

Not sure if this is hardcoded, but I think it would be great to be able to use a key to activate your thermal imaging, instead of pressing T and then clicking. This would make the switch faster and easier. :-D

ArmA II has a nice setup with the N key toggling normal, thermal, and night vision...

Hmmm.... If it is good, can that be implemented in the next version installer?

EDIT: Can't download from that link, can anyone reupload to another place?

If this does get implemented, couldn't it become a fixed weapons selection key for all items that use FLIR? Like the "9" key is for parachutes? Would that even be feasible?

I don't think it can be implemented in a different way then from using the commrose. But this script does the job as well.

Anyway here are some other download links in case you cannot download it from the signature link for whatever reason.

PR FLIR Switch Script - Filesonic
PR FLIR Switch Script - Mediafire
PR FLIR Switch Script - PR Attachment

Would it be possible for you to make it so the key can switch through night/thermal/normal vision? ArmA:II fan here :)

using script is not fair, like people using autoclick for laser missile or rapid fire for full auto with M16....

Hope you will get kick by PB with this kind of script

I don't think switching to thermal faster is a big advantage, just makes it a little quicker and less tedious.

We won't, PB doesn't consider AHK scripts cheats. Some mouse/keyboard can do this by default so it's no big deal. Only advantage of this one is that i won't fire accidentally while switching to thermals and back, thanks Mora.

Thats cool! If that auto lock missile thing is a script like this I'm really gonna get that! ^_^

Never thought of using this. I wrote a script to change my gunner keys for the attack choppers. Now the duplicate key thing is no problem. Thanks Mora.

I wouldn't see how remapping keys or making a small string could be seen as cheating. Like it has been said you can do the same thing with out it.

Good work on the script Mora!

1 Question... I am currently learning C# in school and I will be learning it for the next 2 years...
I am still at the basics... Console apps and stuff like that...
Will I be able to make such scripts soon?
Or scripts for BF2 can not be made using C#??

Cheers,
Punkbuster

I think you'll be fine if you are going to learn how to code.

I have not really any experience with coding i just looked up some scrips that look like this one. And this is a autohotkey script its not the same as C# etc i think.

You won't fire accidentally if you use the right click, and in vehicles that have coax isn't such a big deal but the script is awesome, and I wonder can I add other hotkeys for other stuff?

Much safer too..

If T isn't pressed, missile goes where you were looking, which may be friendlies you were just checking out...

Hasen't happened to me yet, but came mighty close
