I find it REALLY annoying to kill an enemy fighter and 5 seconds later their gear disappears. Why does this happen is it fixable? Or is it a vBF2 bug?

its the kit geomatry. Its linked to the kit. IE when you die. or get shot. It has to be able to be picked up by others around you for some reason. Cause you might have ammo or a loaded gun. And so it replicates picking up friendly ammo or similar.

Why it has to be a kit on the ground, and not remain in geometry mode is probably just horribly hard to make it "fit" cause the body might fly miles high, or you get resisucated, your body will look strange.

Nor do i think its possible to link it to the body, and be able to pick it up.

Kit shouldnt disappear earlier than 5 minutes after its dropped.

Ground hogs steal the kits . . .. those dam groud hogs are crafty ******** taking all of our ammunition . .. .

What I'm trying to say is when a soldier dies, it's annoying that his helmet and whatever he's wearing disappears.That's what I meant.

This is to change the way the soldier looks.

For example, if you pick up a USMC grenadier kit, you pick up the belt of 203's and put it on your back.

No he means that instead of the soldier that dies keeping his kit geometry on as he lies dead on the ground, it dissapears after a short while when the kit bag/pile spawns and the body loses its kit geometry. Don't know if that's changeable really.

Was like that in BF2 wasn't it? Probably hard coded

Could be done by overhauling the infantrymodels I guess, but that would make a change in your look impossible... Pilots, Crewmen and Grunts would look all the same then. (Except for the different models picked by your spawnselection)

When you die you go to VBF hell.
