PR 2011 Oscars Winners Discussion thread

After watching 115 entries, and over 8 hours of PR footage (one video was 1:30 mins long!), the judges have passed me their four nominees for each category. Over the next few days these videos will be scrutinised by our judges, until we have our winners announced this Sunday. Congratulations to all those who have been nominated. And commiserations to those who just fell short. It was an extremly competitive competition. There is always next year!

This category is focused upon the overall finished product. Audio quality, video editing, the way shots cut into other, the way action is build up and portrayed. The overall finished product has to be of a very high standard for this category.

PR isn't just focused around conventional forces attacking each other. Sometimes cunning and deception are required to bringdown a stronger foe. These videos depict some of the better usages of unconventional forces.

The [R-Dev]Fuzzhead award goes to those who show outstanding leadership within PR, whether Squadleading or Commanding. through usage of the radio and clear direction, we are looking for those who are never scared to make Alpha Squad at the round start.

The Chuc marksman award was a difficult one. We were looking for how the weapon was used, the accuracy and overall effect it had. Not necessarily a killing spree, but sometimes backing off is better than running in.

Clausewitz famously stated that war must be "all out". Project Reality features jets, tanks, helicopters, and even boats. Here we are looking for your depiction of how they are used in game.

Here we wanted to see raw, unedited gameplay at it's best. Inter squad communication, infantry working alongside armor to achieve a set goal, we wanted to see raw PR at it's best.
