Its a sad time for Project Reality and online players around the world and espcialy Black Sand Studios. Never have I ever played an online game with servers like the servers in Project Reality. The admins on these servers, to name a few..."GamingAU, [=B=] BONES, =TBA=, [RUS], =]H[= HARDCORE, TacticalGamer, PR Latinoamerica, ]TAR[ Texas, ]CIA[, =SAGA=, *NwA* UK and GamePolis.ru" abuse their privileges beyond anything I have seen before, not only is it a loss for online players from all over the globe, but its also devastating for Black Sand Studios, who are trying to get their game out there for all to enjoy, but instead are losing out on thousands of potential players. I garuntee every one who reads this thread has been banned from at least 2 servers on Project Reality, I know of many people who have been banned from nearly 80% of Project Reality servers and are unable to play, alot of them for ridiculous reasons (you know of some rediculous reasons, I'm sure). This news is spreading and many people are very upset about it, including myself, I have been banned from at least 3 servers including [=B=] BONES being American and the worse part for most of us, is that there is little anyone can really do. I don't even know what anyone can really do about this matter. I just felt as though I should absolutely get the word out on these forums. Wouldn't it be wonderful to see the number of full servers increase dramaticlly. Sadly though, the number will decrease over some time, eventually Project Reality will die out, and alot of the blame can be dropped squarely on the abusive admins of Project Reality. Let me vent this.... just last week I mentioned on the *NwA* UK Server that I had a cat that had surgery, I was just explaining to several fellow players on this *NwA* UK Server about how it sucked to go through the process with my cat. that I love, and I was relentlessly harassed by *NwA* Server Admins and quickly banned for over 180 minutes, reason... (excessive teamkilling). I still to this day do not know how I offended the *NwA* Admins on such a level. I have been permanently banned from [=B=] BONES for reasons completly unknown and this was a server I played on a regular basis. I have been permanently banned from GamingAU for 2 accidental teamkills. I have been permanently banned from several servers for soloing a vehichle when I first started playing because I was new, and have yet to be taking of any ban list. Like I said, its a sad time for players on Project Reality who are in the same boat. There should be monitors to watch over admins to make sure they are not abusing their privileges on such an awful level. It is ruining online gaming for players around the world. I hope some admins read this thread and maybe rethink their way of treating fellow online players. This subject needs to be attended to... soon. Thanks you, ~RC Project Reality.

These forums are not the place for this discussion, if you have a problem with admins abusing their problems, you should go to their respective sites.

In short, All the named servers admin abuse their powers by banning players that can't be bothered to learn the servers rules.

As said before, not the place for it. Admins may be jerks once in awhile but not as bad as you think.

His second complaint was that there was no way for him to find out how to get unbanned. I mean it's not like these clans that host servers have websites or anything.

if you were banned, then its something you did and you know it.
being banned isent instantly, they give warnings then ban, all the servers u listed are all fair.
Admins dont abuse there powers. They use them so the rest of the community can have a better gaming experience, ur just ranting because your on your ManPMS.
And if u get banned go back to BF2 if this is SO UNFAIR.

FYI HighHopes, Excessive teamkilling is a default message if you didn't see the original ban message and try to rejoin.

Try visiting the websites of the clans that have banned you from their servers. Most have a procedure to appeal bans in place.

You should try visiting the website of the server you intend to play on to get to know their rules. Many servers don't want to see you venting about no game related chatter in All Chat. You sharing your cat story to the entire server most likely pissed someone off that didn't appreciate seeing a wall of text in the upper left corner of the screen.

You need to sign up on our website: http://www.hardcoregamingclan.com, go to our forums, and read the stickies regarding how to appeal a ban.

Dude this isn't the north Africa, you cant start an uprising against the admins

Like Mentioned before, you did something wrong and were interrupting gameplay, so they got rid of the problem (you)
Ive been banned once in my early years, just go to there site and appeal...after you read the rules
and don't assume stuff ("everyones been banned at least twice") it doesn't help your case

He be trollin. He should know better, forum mods will lock this rather quickly.

lies i have played since 2007 and never got a ban. and i have played possible 1000 hours of pr.

Honestly I think it is abused. I got into this game watching a stream from a guy named Kenadian. He has a stream on justin.tv with thousands of subscribers and hundreds of people watching at any given time. On his stream one day he was standing behind a humvee swapping kits when he gets ran over by the driver, almost killing him. Being mad, he took two shots to the door of the truck (not harming the driver) and told the guy to watch out next time. The driver then got out, shot Kenadian in the head and kicked him from the server.

This was in Tactical Gamer btw. The guy streaming had almost 200 people watching him. Great way to give your server a bad name.

to be honest i've never been banned from any server, follow the rules, if you dont know them, keep an eye out for warning messages. If i do anything that breaches rules thats how i learn. though usually i dont break rules unless they are more obscure ones such as ramming INF with vehicles which i dont do often. I've never even been booted from a server except on TG for supporting members on occasion.

well there's your problem, a simple team chat message would suffice. or mumble if available. You dont shoot people just because they almost run you over. This reminds me of that news article about ANA troops shooting at a Canadian convoy cause of a car accident.

Well, once... i was playing in HOG muttrah, and an admin banned because: i was without a microphone, and i couldn't play as a infantry soldier or crewman... and i was in the HUEY squad... he banned me because he was in a huey first and said in the voip: "THE TEAM DOES NOT NEED ANOTHER HUEY" and i said that i was without a microphone.. and then he Banished me for 15 days... c'mon... it was really needed?

Days earlier... i was in this same server, it was empty, only 2 guys on US... we were flying the huey... just waiting for players... and a admin joined the server... joined our squad and said "This isn't the place for training!" "get back to the main base with this chopper" "you can't fucking train here"... i said that the server was empty... and he replied "use the fucking mic or i will kick you from the server", and then i've left the server...

some admins are asses, but abuse is another thing. some servers have rediculous rules like "must have mic" or some other reddiculous rule. Most of their admins for example HOG they're usually pretty cool about it. some admins just take their role a little too seriously. remember HOG, CIA, etc those tend to be community run servers and community run servers cycle admin duty among members of their group, and some people like a lot of people in clans and guilds in other games are just kids looking to have a bit of power over other people, and some just take things a little too seriously.

also @ OP: This is the internet and it is a video game, nobody here cares about your cat...well here specifically, we're here to kill virtual people, that is all. when you take up chat with anything non game related other perhaps more important messages get buried. i'm sure at best only one or two people wanted to know about your cat's surgery. get their email and make friends, don't do it in game. when you use team chat 34 people get your story blocking up their chat space burying their mortar strike grid refs. Also you should get over yourself, it's not tough dealing with surgery. you dont need to mope about it while you game.
