trouble starting

Hi, I had this mode before and it gave me trouble with the shortcut. I had to enter into the pr folder (among the mods folder) and start it from there. I could never play online because every time I tried to start the pr.exe as administrator it would come up with the error message "error, try starting with c drive/program files/ea games/bf2/mods/pr/pr.exe" so I didnt start it as administrator, I would start it as regular and just play by myself (my pc won't let me play online withouht running bf2 as administrator, I don't know why). Anyway I decided to get it again so I installed all 3 parts (including the Christmas map pack) and now no matter how I start it it keeps giving me that same message, I even made my own shortcut with the directory leading to where it wants but it still asks that I start the game from the exact location I did. So I have no idea what is wrong with it but if i could be instructed on how to fix this problem (even if it means I can only play single player) I would appreciate the help. :)

Any information of your computer? You MIGHT need to go and run the exe in compatibility mode as well as administrator (xp service pack 2) if you have a windows computer. Some information would be helpful.
Also, this is in the wrong section of the forums, just letting you know. It's preferred you post it in the support section, but don't make a copy of this thread. You'll most likely get an infraction for doing so, so just wait for an admin to move it to the right area.

ok, sorry, I will post it to the support next time. My computer is a Windows Vista home basic. As for the compatability thing, I already made the shortcut compatability for windows 98 ME (which is what i had to do last time a game didn't work but being as how PR is differnt than that game maybe that wasnt the best idea). I have run it as administrator and not as administrator but both ways failed. any suggestions? :? ??:

have you tried different compatibility modes? Other than that, I can't think of anything else since you don't have WIN7
