Project Reality Video and CTD problems

Wow, first day back to PR and already having issues.
Anyway, here is the problem:
When i load into a map certain textures are missing, i.e. vehicles and buildings are invisible, my weapon is blacked out and there is no body parts.
Then when i hit the ESC key i CTD....now the fix to that was to turn the Anti-Alaising off and pam it worked and i got my textures back, new problem:
Lags and the CTD after 10-20 seconds of being in game.
I dont think there is an issue with my graphic card driver since i can run ARmA2 and vBF2 on all high.
So far i tried deleting the cache files and a fresh re-install of both vBF2 and PR.
Any ideas fellas?

Have you tried running in windowed mode? Do you get an error message there?
Did you install Win7 service pack 1 yet?

Yes to all above, the error i get is about there being a memory.ddl or dll problem, which i dont see how but i then also get this message:

Any ideas AT ALL?
I played with some files and settings and i can sometimes play a full round on small maps but on big maps it still CTD.
The textures are sometimes there sometimes the player models are missing (i,e the houses become invisible)

What are your temps. Plus how much RAM you got?

Like in all other Threads we need your specs and OS

iMac OSX Snow Leopard running WIndows 7 32-bit via BootCamp
8gb of ram
ATI HD 4XXX series with 1gb memory -
basically the computer can run ARmA2 and vBF2 and any other game i played on it on all high settings.
PR is the only problem i have

Probably not related to your issue, but Windows 32 bit cannot utilize more than 3.6 or whatever GB of memory. So if you want to use all that 8GB with Windows install the 64 bit version.

Ok, so installed 64-bit version....STILL the same problem, i turned AA off like said so the textures returned, i can play SMALL MAPS like muttrah etc anything big and it crashes

Hello!
I have Win7 and I have exactly the same problems.
CTD on big maps, missing or black textures, sometimes I have huge black triangles filling the map. I have tried all the methods said above, but the only thing helped: Alt-Tab.
It fixes the graphical issues, but only for a few (10-15) seconds.
I can run Arma2CO and vBF2 on high settings without any problems too.
(Specs: Intel q9550, hd4890 1G, 4G Ram)

Graphical glitches can indicate data corruption (maybe even due to hardware failure). This sounds like an overheating issue.
Check temperatures and run memory diagnostics.

That was one of my many thoughts, i ran diagnostics on tempture for GPU etc and it was at normal levels.
Ive also re-downloaded and reinstalled 4 times. vBF2 and ArmA2: OA are working perfectly, FH2 and USI is working like a charm and so is Omnicide.
PRBF2 is the only one not working correctly.
So i have completly ruled out hardware issues on this one.
Do you think i may need to change some config files or coding to get it to work?

PR stresses the hardware more than newer games because it is not very well optimized for the new hardware - it is highly resource demanding and may reach other sectors and cause higher loads on components that newer games do not. This means that the system might simply hit its PR limits even when it does perform very well on other programs.
But for now:
Try with making a new profile (can just copy the profile folder 0001 and increase the number -> 0002) that you will only use for PR. I read that some mods are just not very compatible with PR when run on the same profile.
Reset everything back to defaults on that account and see if it runs ok with those standard settings.
As far as coding... the next version will afaik include major performance improvements.

I see what your saying, but 4gb and 6gb RAM should be more than enough.
I will look at upgrading my ATI card and see if that helps.

Right a temporary fix:
I done the following:
Clean REMOVAL OF BF2 AND PR, Patch BF2 to 1.41 to 1.5 the install PR - Forcecheck MD5 sums to make sure no corrupt data, create NEW PROFILE FROM PROJECT REALITY, Save, restart, Video settings> ALL LOW>AA OFF> SAVE RESTART.
I only tested this on NWA server playing West Fallujah (which used to crash after loading) I think the problem is although my machine is capable of running the game on HIGH some of my hardware conflict with the game thus making it crash - setting it on LOW > which is equilivant to vBF2s HIGH lol > Stops my hardware from clashing with PR.
Will test a few more times but it seems to of had worked for this map (West Fallujah).
