Mortar Damage against Constructs

Observation:
Mortars in game are around 60mm I have been told. As a specific field manual states the small mortars we use in game do very little to damage the structural integrity of buildings or bridges. (Source: FM Chptr 1 Mortar Sections And Platoons On The Airland Battlefield)
Furthermore, with how the construction of deployables function in the game, mortars have effectively defeated any effort at constructing razor wire as a single mortar falling within thirty meters of any construct will damage it to the point where it must be redug again.
Opinion:
I feel that with the amount of effort placed into creating a good defensive line that limits enemy armor or troop movements that the ease in which mortars destroy these deployables makes any attempt fruitless in the long run.
Also the destruction of key strategic points is made too easy by the mortar's strength over a bridge. What in reality takes a considerable amount of planning to accomplish takes only a look at a map, a caclulation of range and dumb firing without even a forward observer.
