The recording is from the end credits of an episode of Generation Kill, about a USMC recon battalion during the Iraqi invasion in 2003.

There is a link available on that video.

Why do they repeat the same message, once with over and once with out?
Is the out version for the acknowledgement of receiving the message correctly?

saying "Out" means that you have finished talking whilst "over" means that you are expecting a reply, saying "over and out" will earn you a slap.

It's illogical

over - expecting a reply
out - end of conversation. Why expect a reply when you've finished the conversation? :p

Go to:

<location of game directory>\Project Reality\Project Reality BF2\mods\pr\content

Open 'objects_vehicles_client.zip'

Open vehicles

Open common

Open radiochatter

Open sound

radiochatter.wav is the file you're looking for.

The download is on that youtube video. Mentioned 4 years ago.

Or if you feel like complicating things you can use a .mp3 downloader for youtube on that video.

BTW if this is the first time you're hearing about Generation Kill you should definitely give it a watch. Fantastic show. Ranks alongside Band of Brothers and The Pacific as one of the best TV mini-series about war. As a PR fan you'll definitely love it.
