After some strange crashes ive had problems with cannot connect to server as well. I belive i fixed it by moving or deleting my Battlefield 2\mods\pr\settings\usersettings.con

Moved to PR:BF2 Support.

Thanks Gracler, but it seems I have done everything correctly... to me it's like an issue with the BF2 acocunt. Can not get my existing one(s) to log in, let alone create a new, functional one.

Anyone? Is there something wrong with EA/BF2 somewhere, I doubt this is PR's fault.

This is what I get every time, now even with an account I managed to retrieve.

Can not log in. Can not play.

and if i remember right you need new email adress to every account.
so if you try to create new account to your older email where you have some old account,its not working.
new account=new email.....not sure....

maybe firewall is blocking the connection?

But... I have done all that, checked PB, updated it manually, adjusted firewall and my virus scan (Avast!) so that every bloody thing should be allowed through (well OK I mean BF2 + PR, not anything else).

About the account / email address... that is something valid to try on. I must've tried retrieving+logging with all my 'active' 4 or so email acco's - maybe I add a virgin one and try creating an alias with that. Yepp.

Now, the REALLY weird bit is, I managed to log on into VANILLA BF2 once just like 2 hrs ago, using my last-time-I-panicked alias

WTH happened after that, I am not sure. Can not log in with that one anymore.

+++oh yeah, to all you fellows there, I did the inevitable remove all + re-install all, patches in correct order, etc, already.

I will soon panic and scream. Saturday night and no fun.

NOW stuff gets weird:

I installed a copy of BF2 + PR on my laptop. Guess what? EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY. I can create acco's, retrieve old ones, the full deal. Logs in fast as hell, ready to play. If that piece o' junk only had proper gfx card... can't really play with it.

Some PC genious tell me why my desktop refuses connex?

desktop: XP Pro sp3, Avast!
laptop: Vista, Avast!

Both use the same connection, obv, just different LAN cables via a hub.

I am thinking this must be easy to solve. Why did BF2 work before... and not anymore? What did I install/configure, to make my life hell?

PEERBLOCKER was on the whole time (I did not know it auto-starts when my PC restarts).
