OK so what my problem is, I have BF2. My friend gave it to me a while back and the key that I got from him worked at first but after I installed Patch 1.41 It kept saying "Your CD key is invalid". I have re-installed it but it still doesn't work does anybody have a spare CD key or a fix for this problem if so PM me a key or tell me how to fix it! Cause at first I had fun so I wanted to install a patch so I could join more servers but after I did so the problem came up so if anyone can please send a spare key or steps to help.

OK SO ummm a lot of times when you play BF2 on a different user than you installed it on it fuxores something and the "Your CD key is invalid" messages come up. Only solution to that has been reinstalling by my experience. Make sure you install everything and play on the same user account.

That's all I have but the gurus here will surely have a ton of advice.

Edit: Marco c'mon, you're just being silly now. I'm sure the admins will move the thread if they deem necessary even without your request.

Possible u played 1.0 version with this CD-Key where you can use any, original, cracked, or whatever CD-Key, Now when you came on original patch, seems you have cracked cd-key...

Only solution is to buy Original game/CD-key, which is cheap...(or to steal it :lol

If you want PR to be installed on your computer then first download all three parts update your bf2 to 1.4, 1.5 and then install the PR stuff.

But ensure you have a valid CD key is nice.

does it tell you "CD-Key is invalid" when you try installing or when you try to join a server?

theres already something about this on the forum. its one of those BIG RED STICKY THINGS. If you have a problem, always search the forum first. You can pretty much guarantee someone else has had it and solved it.

People really need to learn how to google stuff.. Invalid CD key fix!!

You guys are complaining about how someone cannt search Google but you give them instruction to change their register.

A mistake in the register can really screw up a computer and there is no easy fix!

Better follow the instructions then. The only way you could really do any serious damage within the registry is start deleting random entries, mostly in the Windows tree.
