So Ive seen it before (Not ingame) where a trans helo has been like a recon chopper. Say on Muttrah City where you have like 4, has anyone known of any instances in game for a Helo to just fly around doing overwatch recon with maybe a few soldiers at the doors providing fire from above?? Just a thought.

It happens all the time.
It also results in the loss of a helo and 5-7 tickets.
What you can do to be useful though is do flare runs over an LZ another helo is landing it, preventing the AA gunner from ever getting a decent lock.

Many times, sometimes pilots double up and use the 2nd Seat FLIR capability on the huey.

Aaaah my friend i do it everyday !

ya i do this some times with door gunners provding fire for infantr,y never recon, choppers get lost so often to recon flights where the pilot thinks there bieng usefel but they get shot down USE CHOPPERS FOR AIR COVER OR TRANSPORT

this isn't such a good tactic when teh commander's UAV is just as, if not more efficient at this task.

the flare thing is a good tactic, coordinated helo landings are awesome and effective, especially with +64 players wherer the sudden arrival of 10+ men can completely change an engagement
