Mouse button assignment doesn't work in PR

Hi,
I'm new to PR and am trying to get everything working locally in the co-op game, so that I'm not a complete embarrassment when I join an online game. Installing PR has worked absolutely fine on my 32 bit Win 7 laptop. However, one thing I really need to be able to operate effectively is the extra buttons on my mouse (Logitech LX8 running the latest control software - just downloaded Setpoint 6.20.50). I've got the extra side and wheel buttons set to do actions such as sprint, prone, crouch, etc. They all work perfectly in BF2
, but for some reason won't work when I run PR 
. Has anyone else had this problem and are there any workarounds?
(I've tried all the usual stuff like redefining the buttons in Setpoint, re-installing software, re-starting PC, etc. But still get the same result; buttons work fine in BF2, but not in PR)
