[Article] Reality Studios Acquisition

The PR team have pulled out all the stops this year round, announcing the acquisition of Reality Studios. Doing this apparently means the cancellation of PR:V and PR:A. This seems to have caused a very odd reaction among the community, from acceptance and support to openly ridiculing the Devs .
?Although I was really looking forward to Arma 2 I wish you the best of luck on PR2. Thanks for what you have done for the BF2 community.?
?nice to know red tags will drop their pantaloons for the first DICE developer to offer them money.?
However, all is not lost. Should such an event happen it would make sense that it would come from the top, as in UK_Force. However, the news was broken through Ancientman, where it was April 1st at the time of his posting. The move has sparked a lot of people proclaiming it as a joke, apparently forgetting the matter of last year?s Vietnam announcement, as Dev Outlawz reminded us. As well as this, nuttex brought us to the fact that the popular Arma modding team ACE has announced that it has all of PR:A?s source material as a result of it?s closure, as originally posted by sickboy, which has no apparent trace to the PR team that could mean he?s in on it.
The fact of the matter is this: We?re not going to know whether this is true or not, or whether the PR devs know how they?re going to stop EA from doing as it?s done before to humble games like this. We can speculate, get infractions and get pissed off, but face it. This isn?t our mod. It?s the Dev?s.
