Crash to Desktop, BF2Audio.dll

Well this is disappointing.
Last night I ran through the whole uninstall/reinstall cycle to try to get BF2 and PR working, because I wanted to try PR for the first time. After hours of tinkering, I got BF2 to start up with no problems. Then I put the computer to sleep.
Now today when I try to run either BF2 OR PR, they both crash to desktop instantly after the splash screens run. Every 2 or 3 tries, a box comes up saying BF2Audio.dll cannot be found, but I don't think that's part of the problem. I didn't change anything after the successful startup besides installing PR. Is that the problem?
Whenever I try to start up the game, it runs the splash screens, then tries to do a whole bunch of resolution changes, then crashes. Could it be the fact I'm running two monitors that's the problem?
I've already tried BF cleaner, changing video.con, and all the compatibility ****. I really don't want to go through another un/re cycle.
If specs are needed I can post them. Help is much appreciated
Edit: It's win7 x64
