A Question About Spawn Times

A few quick questions:
1) are spawn times set by the server or by the map?
2) Does every time you die add a second to the spawn time (I remember it being like this in the old days)
3)Do bluefor have a longer spawn time than insurgents?

I don't think the answers to these questions are in the maunel (plz spare me if they are).

Basically if anyone has the algorithm for spawn times I would be much appreciate, because after playing a round tonight as insurgent, spawn time confuse me more than Chinese calculus

Spawn times are set by the game. It all really depends on how you did, what you did in your life (IE TK, TVD, crashed asset)

I'm 90% sure a server can change spawn times on a map, however it has to be passworded. Therefore the spawn time are set by the game.
Everytime you die you get 5 seconds added to your spawn time untill 3:00 mins i think.
Blufor tend to get longer spawn times than ins because that's just how ti works, however at the start everyone has the same spawn time.

Its all in the manual.

But cause people be lazy here it is:

30 second base
5 seconds for each death to a maximum of 45
15 reduced for each FO you construct/CP captured
+120 seconds for each Colaborator you kill up to 300 seconds.

They are set by the game, they won't vary by the map nor by server. However, if a server owner wants to adjust the spawn time, he must contact an R-MOD or someone like that to get a permission to do so, and he must put a password for his server and include something in it's name.

I think it is 5 seconds for each death as they said above me for a maximum of 45.
3)Do bluefor have a longer spawn time than insurgents?
As far as I know, both of them start at 30 seconds, then the spawn time increases depending on your actions.

staying wounded counts as your 'respawn' time

so if you stay wounded for 30secs then give up you'll respawn straight away. or have x secs left because of penalties

Not true. 5 second grace time before auto spawn. This is to allow selection of spawn point.

what about instant so players don't spend countless hours waiting for respawn?

dunno about you but i play to play not to watch a count down timer screen

if i wanted that I would go to megaupload

just a thought.

Did you know if you switch teams twice while your dead you can respawn instantly.
that of course requires admin abuse (!switch name)x2
